Sahakar Membership Campaign in Rajasthan: Expansion of Cooperative Network

Rajasthan government will conduct ‘Sahakar(Cooperative) Membership Campaign’ from 2 to 15 October 2025 across the state. The Campaign aims at increasing membership of cooperative societies by a minimum of 10%. Preparations for the camp were completed in pre-campaign conducted from 9 to 29 September 2025. Notably 1.5 lakh new applications for membership were received during pre-campaign. Any individual aged above 18 years who comes under the jurisdiction of the concerned cooperative society can apply for its membership. Another important activity that will be undertaken in this campaign will be formation of PACS (Primary Agricultural Credit Societies) in all Gram Panchayats without PACS. Survey 1500 Gram Panchayats has already been carried out for PACS formation. The campaign will be carried out in more than 8600 PACS of the state. Those PACS which do not possess land for them land will be identified and alloted for godowns. An awareness about provisions of the proposed new cooperative law will also be disseminated in these camps. In addition for applications pending under PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme e-KYC and Aadhaar seeding will be carried out.
