Inauguration of the 75th PM Divyasha Kendra (PMDK) was done in Badaun, Uttar Pradesh, by the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment. These one-stop shops give assistive appliances and rehabilitation facilities to Divyangjan and senior citizens through schemes such as ADIP and RVY. Its program is in line with the Accessible India Campaign and it seeks to promote dignity, mobility, and independence of the beneficiaries. These centres are run by a CPSE (ALIMCO) which deprives people of long distance journeys as the services are available locally. Till now, 1.4 lakh+ individuals have taken advantage of this, and this has cemented the Indian dream of inclusive development.
