Rajasthan’s Digital Twin Initiative: Smart Grid Management Pilot in India

Rajasthan has become the first state in the country to digitalize and transform the electricity distribution system into a smart grid. This initiative is called “digital twin”. This will increase the efficiency and will provide real time information with regard to availability, usage and faults. The electricity generated under “Kusum” scheme will be provided to farmers themselves instead of being transmitted to grid.
