To promote the preservation of nature and environmental awareness, the Forest, Environment and Climate Change Minister of Rajasthan Sanjay Sharma opened a state-level Van Mela on Secretariat Nursery, Jaipur, on 9 and 10 February 2026. The fair is being conducted as intended by the Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma to enhance the protection of the forests and wildlife besides preserving the tribal interests. Medicine and other forest products procured in the forests are likely to have a market through this platform and the tribes and other people who are reliant on forests are likely to have economic support towards their livelihoods.
