WORKPLAN FOR VIKSIT RAJASTHAN@2047

With the resolutions of empowered citizen, sustainable development and transparent governance Rajasthan Govt. has released a work plan for the realization of vision of Viksit Rajasthan @2047. The plan aims to empower women, youth, farmers and poor for inclusive and holistic development of the state. The objective of the vision document is to establish Rajasthan as a leading state by 2047 which would be an active participant in nation building based on inclusive and sustainable development, world class infrastructure, conservation of environment, transparent governance and citizen empowerment. The document is in sync with its rich cultural heritage and citizens aspirations. Under the detailed work plan elaborate targets have been set for different sectors such as health, education etc.

The vision is based on 4 main themes and 13 different sectors.

First theme is public welfare and and social empowerment which includes dimensions such as health, education, agriculture, social inclusion etc.

Second theme is centred on rapid development, prosperity and employment generation under which new avenues will be developed in the field of tourism, mining and industrial sectors.

Third theme is future oriented Rajasthan under which priority is given to environmental stability, water security, climate adaptability and basic infrastructure.

Fourth theme is development policy, finance and governance which is focussed on strengthening rural and urban development, financial management , digital services and effective governance.

The govt. aims to make Rajasthan a $4.3 trillion economy by 2047.

Goals in various sectors

1. Agriculture

The vision document aims at 40% increase in agricultural productivity through climate friendly/compatible and technology based agricultural practices.

2. Healthcare

Apart from universal access to healthcare services the vision document has set the following targets

1. Reducing Maternal Mortality Rate to 15
2. Bringing down Infant Mortality Rate below 10 per thousand live births
3. Raising life expectancy to 77 years or more

3. Industries

1. Generating more than 1 crore direct and indirect employment opportunities through industrial development
2. Increasing exports by 5 times

4. Education

1. Implementation of skill based education system
2. Establishment of computer equipped smart classes
3. 100%  school enrolment

5. Women Empowerment

Increasing the percentage of women participation in workforce to more than 60%

6. Renewable Energy

a.Raising the renewable energy production from 33GW to 290 GW.

The vision document has been prepared by Rajasthan Institute of Transformation and Innovation in accordance with the guidelines of NITI aayog. Targets have been set for 2030, 2035, 2040 and 2047. For the effective implementation of the workplan a steering committee has been constituted under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary. In addition to it Project Management Units have been established at departmental levels.
