Under the leadership of the Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma, the Rajasthan Government will initiate Vande Ganga Jal Sanrakshan Jan Abhiyan from 25 May. Water Source Conservation

- Department of Water Resource, with the help of farmer groups and Jal Upyogita Sangam will clean the canals and drains.
- The laying of foundations for water conservation works will begin with ceremonies.
- Water conservation works completed will be inaugurated.
- Silt removal and maintenance will be done at water bodies and forest water structures.
Increase awareness and involve the community.
- Cycle rallies, awareness rallies will be organised.
- Competition for students regarding importance of Ganga dashami will be organized.
- Kalash Yatras will be organised by the ‘Rajeevika women'.

Agriculture, Environment and Urban Initiatives
- Workshops/exhibitions will be organized on sprinkler, drip irrigation, farm ponds and pipeline-based micro-irrigation.
- There will be discussions on natural farming, organic farming and precision farming organised by Krishi Vigyan Kendras.
- Rainwater harvesting system will be cleaned/repaired in public buildings.
- Water use audits, green office programmes, energy audits and green budgets will be encouraged among the industries.
- Additionally, campaigns against single-use plastics will also be held and actions for No Plastic Day will be organised.

Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Department
- Street plays will be organised on water conservation.
- A pledge to conserve water will be encouraged among people.

Previous Year’s Achievement
During the previous year’s campaign, more than 3 lakh 70 thousand programmes were organised in about 11 thousand Gram Panchayats of Rajasthan. Approximate 2 crore 53 lakh people took part in the campaign which included 1 crore 32 lakh women.
