Through this amendment bill, RIICO will be able to exercise all powers related to the development of plots located in industrial areas such as preparation and modification of layout plans, disposal of land, granting of permissions, approvals, and execution of development works in industrial areas in accordance with the rules.

Exemption: Provisions will not apply to industrial lands allotted on or before 18.09.1979 if their leases were cancelled by the state government or RIICO before or on the date of passing this Bill.
