Vishwakarma Yuva Udyami Protsahan Yojana approved in Rajasthan

Government of Rajasthan has floated a new scheme for encouraging entrepreneurship and MSMEs in the state. Under the  Vishwakarma Yuva Udyami Protsahan Yojana Youth aged between 18 and 45 years will get loans at subsidised rates for setting up new entreprises. They will receive Interest subsidy up to 8% on loans up to Rs 2 crores. Additionally they will also receive margin money grant of 25% of the loan amount subject to a maximum limit of Rs 5 lakh . For Special categories (women, SC, ST, Divyang, rural enterprises, weavers & artisans with card) For loans above ₹1 crore up to ₹2 crore, they will get 1% additional subsidy. A corpus fund of Rs150 crores has been created for this purpose.

In an another important cabinet decision it is proposed to ament Rajasthan Factories Act to increase the daily work hours from current 9 to 10 hours. Additionally minimum work hours before rest will be increased from current 5 to 6 hours.
