Context

  In Rajasthan, farmers can now claim insurance under Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY) if crops kept in the field for drying after harvest get damaged due to unseasonal rain, hailstorm, or cyclone. The compensation covers crop damage occurring within 14 days after harvest. Farmers must report the damage within 72 hours of occurrence.
